4th of July Parade

To let others know about our group, we participated in the Urbandale 4th of July Parade. What fun! We decorated the back of a pickup truck with pink streamers. We displayed pictures of little girls wearing the dresses they received from Dress A Girl. We had some of our granddaughters and their friends wear our dresses while passing out candy.

Winterset Fundraiser

This year we took on a huge endeavor for such a small group. We participated in the  Winterset Covered Bridge Festival, setting up a tent where we displayed over 600 items, all handmade by our volunteers. There were potholders, walker caddies, beautiful Christmas placemats and table clothes as well as holiday wreaths and much more. We also had the opportunity to participate in two other bazaars. These events allow us to raise funds to continue to do what we love, make beautiful dresses for needy girls all over the world!

Pancake Breakfast

We've held Pancake Breakfasts at the Creekside Church in Urbandale several times. Lots of help from the hubbies, and an auction of beautiful handmade and donated items. This made the breakfast a great success and helped spread the word about Dress A Girl.
