Mary Ann Engquist
Mary Ann Engquist is from Omaha, NE, and every 4th Monday of each month she hops in her little red pickup and makes the 4 hour round trip to Grimes, joining our group. She was widowed and left to raise her 4 children. Mary Ann was a teacher who loved teaching Kindergarten children in a poorer area of Omaha for 44 years. Mary Ann has contributed over 1,400 dresses in the short time she has been with our group. She is a very talented seamstress and contributes greatly to our group. Thanks, Mary Ann!
Urbandale Senior Center
On the third Friday of each month, the ladies at the Urbandale Senior Center come together to make kits and sew dresses. Under the leadership of Rosemary Glasgow, these ladies work diligently at the center and then continue sewing at home. These dresses have made a vast contribution to our overall dress count.
